Teacher Deng, also known by the nickname “Muscle Go”, is an accomplished Go instructor and amateur 5-dan, with a Fox Go (野狐) online rating of 9-dan.
He has extensive experience in professional Go events, having served as:
Live game recorder for the Go event at the Guangdong Provincial Games
Referee at the 3rd Great Go Master Tournament (大棋士赛)
Recorder at the 43rd World Amateur Go Championship
Over the course of his teaching career, Teacher Deng has trained more than 200 students, guiding many from beginner to 1-dan through 5-dan. One of his top students currently trains at the Hangzhou Go Academy and won the National Youth Go Championship (U15 Boys).
